the old rectory

This beautiful 200-year-old Rectory was originally the home of the Rev Robert Winstringham Bland (1794-1884), Rector of St George’s Parish Church in Belfast. Extensively renovated a few years ago to an exceptionally high standard and furnished with many works of art and antiques. Each bedroom has its own unique charm and each has its own large en suite. The Mayfly Room, Tartan Room and Gingham Suite are all upstairs. The Linen Room is downstairs. There is safe off-road car parking for three cars at the front of the house.

Gingham Suite

An interesting and pretty room with twin beds. There are two steps down into it which makes it slightly quirky and it also has a small sitting area with two chairs. The large attractive en suite has a large walk-in shower cubicle with luxury double head gas power shower.

Linen Room

A chic room with King-size bed. The high quality extremely elegant furniture is heavily inspired by Scandinavian design in hand painted solid wood with a deliberately distressed effect. The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower cubicle with electric shower.

Sitting Room

Decorated in the style of an Irish Georgian country house with traditional mahogany furniture and antique copper items. It has stunning views over the main garden and Belfast Lough. Marvellous in the evenings watching the ships heading off all lit up.

Kitchen/Dining

Spacious and very well-equipped, this bespoke kitchen has a cosy and smart country-look with top quality Siemens ‘white’ goods. There is a stylish dining area to one end and a separate utility area.

Terrace

Although there is ample dining space inside the property, those preferring to dine al fresco may do so on the private terrace overlooking the main gardens and Belfast Lough.
